Several states now have laws requiring insurers to count copay assistance paid by or on behalf of an enrollee toward their annual deductibles and out-of-pocket limit. Similar legislation is currently pending in several other states.
These laws generally apply to individual, family, and small group health insurance plans, but may not apply to insurance provided by large employers.
The interactive map below displays states that have enacted laws as well as those where legislation has been indroduced. Hover over each state to learn more.
If your state has not yet enacted legislation, visit our Action Center to learn how you can help make #AllCopaysCount.
